Hello - and Happy Monday,
This year I will be focusing on helping schools and individuals to develop their understanding of growth mindset.
The reason for this is that the past twelve months has been hard on everyone - and growth mindset is partly about the belief that change is possible with intentional action.
This year I want to help school communities understand that through intentional action, they can change the way they think and feel about themselves. This has positive consequences both personally and professionally.
Personally. It can inspire you to understand that small intentional actions focused on an overarching goal can change how you think and feel about yourself.
Professionally. It will help you understand how children can turn knowledge and skill into achievement in any area of the curriculum - and even life itself!
My key idea around growth mindset is this: You wouldn’t plant a seed and come back the next day looking for a tree. The planting of the seed is the first intentional step. Deliberate action is required to ensure it is nurtured every day afterward. Your life is the same.
Best wishes,
